Get fit in January with Palm HealthCare’s “Let’s Move” Challenge

In November during my 30-day blogging challenge, I wrote about my visit to the Palm HealthCare Foundation office in Downtown West Palm Beach. This month, Palm HealthCare has teamed up with CBS12 to launch their “Let’s Move Commit to Physical Activity Challenge”.

It’s easy to get involved – click here to get started!

Just complete 30 minutes of sustained physical activity each day and log your minutes by clicking on the image above. Any type of sustained physical activity counts. Walk, bike, jazzercize, play a game of hoops, rollerblade, garden, tap dance or perform any other type of physical activity you like.

You can log in your minutes each day, multiple times a day, as often as you want. Or you can keep track of all of your activity in a personal log then come back to our website and log your minutes at your convenience. Please use the same e-mail address throughout the campaign when you log in.

This is a community challenge. Your minutes will be added to the total community challenge numbers. The sky is the limit! Let’s Move to better health in a big way!

This year there are several feature events including a free boot camp each Saturday at the West Palm Beach Green Market led by Reggie D of X102.3. The boot camp is held on the green space by the market and begins at 10:00 a.m. On January 18, Let’s Move will be a part of the Annual South Florida Fair Kids Mile. Eric Roby of CBS12 will lead the race. During the event volunteers will be onsite to help families log their minutes.

I would like to start a team for Downtown West Palm Beach – comment below or EMAIL ME if you want to commit to get moving for the month of January.

If you want to walk with a team, Palm Healthcare Foundation will be walking each Tuesdays and Thursdays from their office. They will have t-shirts and other swag for their walkers!

Let’s Move!
