1515 S. Flagler Demolition
On January 2nd, 1972 the Palm Beach Post posted a story which annouced the construction of “The Arkona” which was at the time the “tallest structure in the state dedicated solely to luxury living.”
A little over a year later on July 27th, 1973 with music and fanfare, the Arkona was opened.
Over the years a lot has changed at the Arkona. Today, at 9:06am we gathered to watch the demolition of the building that had graced the Flagler coastline for over 38 years.
