Dunkin’ Donuts Brews Excitement – and Creativity – on Clematis

Palm Beach County Artist to Develop Dunkin’ Donuts-Inspired Installation from Coffee Cups Feb. 25

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (February 21, 2013) — Those who live, work and play in Downtown West Palm Beach will soon have a new spot to help jump-start their days, as Dunkin’ Donuts opens on Clematis Street on Monday, Feb. 25. To welcome the delicious global brand to the downtown community, the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is sponsoring local artist, Marc Beauregard, to create a spectacular outdoor art installation – an image designed with more than 1,200 coffee cups – the day of the opening.

America’s favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods will open its restaurant at 407 Clematis St., with access from both the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach and a street-side storefront for foot traffic coming in directly from the district. The Downtown West Palm Beach location will offer a delicious menu of Dunkin’ Donuts’ high-quality, great-tasting food and its full beverage line. Menu items include a wide variety of hot and iced coffee, lattes and Dunkin’ Donuts K-Cup® Packs, plus an assortment of bagels, donuts, muffins and croissants. Guests will also enjoy seasonal items, such as two varieties of heart-shaped donuts, serving up the new Brownie Batter Donut and bringing back the fan-favorite Cupid’s Choice Donut and Dark Chocolate beverages to keep customers up and running any time of day.

Open seven days a week from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., Dunkin’ Donuts’ downtown location will employ approximately 14 crew members. The restaurant will seat more than 20 people within its indoor space that includes a new interior color palette, as well as an outdoor patio area. Free Wi-Fi will be available throughout the store.

“This corner of Clematis Street is the right kind of location for us. It’s pedestrian-driven has a great energy, and we are excited to partner with our new neighbors – the library, the City and the DDA – to serve the downtown community our coffee and other treats in a fast, friendly environment at an affordable price,” said Dan Bowers, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee.

To celebrate the grand opening of the new location, Beauregard will create a dramatic Dunkin’ Donuts-inspired installation just outside the storefront on the corner of Clematis Street and Dixie Highway. This project will add a fresh new twist to Beauregard’s impressive résumé that already includes award-winning murals, exhibitions and other innovative artwork located in tourism destinations, private homes and corporations across Florida and the northeast United States, as well as in Europe and the Caribbean.
