Support local businesses through the Corona Virus Crisis

Times are tough for our local businesses – as of right now bars and nightclubs are closed. Restaurants are allowed to remain open with a max capacity of 50 & rules about how close tables can be to each other.

Other local businesses deemed “non-essential” are being required to close or greatly reduce their hours.

At this point in time there has not been any official guidance we are moving into all “non-essential” business closures. There will be a list of specific businesses to either be closed or have modified services, like restaurants only allowing for pickup or delivery but not a wide-scale business shut down.

County Commissioner Gregg Weiss

I’ve created this list of as many links to local businesses as were sent to me or I found on line. If I missed your business please email me.

Note that nothing in this article is to be considered medical advice. If I mention something is open I am not recommending you go out, or that you put your, or people you come in contact with, health at risk. Please do your own research and decide if going out is the right option for you.

Having said that, I have gone to several local businesses over the last few days (brewery, dentist, shops, etc) and they have all been very conscious of the current health crisis and have gone out of their way to institute “no-touch” policy, and wiping everything purchased down with antibacterial wipes before handing them to me.

Please also consider supporting local businesses through buying gift cards and/or any swag (hats/t-shirts) that they sell. You can do this whether you go out or not.

Visit WPB Downtown Development Authority’s COVID-19 page for updates on status of businesses and resources available.

Thanks Libby Vision Photography for contributing to this list.
