West Palm 100 to “wind down operations”

This morning I was taken by surprise to find an email in my inbox announcing that West Palm 100 was “winding down it’s operations”

To West Palm 100 members and supporters,

The West Palm 100 has spent the last 13 years serving the children, families and neighborhoods of West Palm Beach through community service and grants to local non-profit organization.

We have been able to give back more than $150,000 and upwards of 25,000 volunteer hours since 2001, thereby changing the landscape of the non-profit community here in WPB. Together, we have raised money through social events, shared many Saturdays of service and impacted the lives of thousands of children and families in our community. For all of that, we thank you.

A few of the non-profits we have supported include Women’s Foundation of Palm Beach County, Paint Your Heart Out, Habitat for Humanity, The Children’s Coalition, Urban Youth Impact, Ann Norton Sculpture Garden, Wheels for Kids, Family Promise in Palm Beach County, Hispanic Human Resources Council, Quantum House, Center for Creative Education and many, many more.

At the end of 2014, the West Palm 100 will wind down its operations and disperse the balance of its grant funds. We have a few more events and we hope you’ll come support us and celebrate 13 years of success.

Tuesday, November 25th will be the final Happy Hour for a Cause for West Palm 100.We ask that you support us as we host one last Happy Hour on 11/25/14 at Camelot on Narcissus Ave. from 6-8 pm. The proceeds from this event will benefit the West Palm 100 Holiday Toys for Tots Party.
As usual the entrance fee is $10 for WP100 members and $15 for non-members.

I’ve been a West Palm 100 member for the last 3 years and have enjoyed all the events, lunch & learns, community meeting and service very much.

I hope to see everyone at the last event.
